Function First!
When assessing the appearance alone, there is a risk that the underpinning cause of your symptoms are missed. Which is why we adopt a functional and holistic approach in how we carry out our assessments.
When a 'tongue tie' is not a tongue tie?
A frenulum is part of normal anatomy, if the frenulum is not restricted then it is not a tongue tie. There can be increased muscular tension around the head, neck and jaw which can present with identical signs and symptoms that can occur with a tongue tie. It is our role to thoroughly assess your baby so we can support you in the way that is best for you and your family.
